How Long a Finance Hire Actually Takes

Our own completion times for 63 senior finance searches. The median is 90 days, but only 8 per cent of searches finished in the month either side of it: they are fast or they are slow and the middle is nearly empty. Seniority does not explain the difference, the fee is the same in both groups. What separates them is how many candidates were seen. Includes the quartiles to plan against and the four weeks that decide which group a search lands in.
